Walkinstown Residents Association (WRA) is a voluntary organisation to represent the residents in the Musical Roads area of Walkinstown in Dublin 12. We were founded in 1949 and have worked since then to improve our neighbourhood. Our main objective is to make Walkinstown a better place to live.
We meet regularly with Dublin City Council, local TD's and councillors to attempt to resolve problems of concern to the residents. We have meetings with the local Gardai from Crumlin regarding security and crime prevention issues.
We cooperate with other voluntary and community groups from nearby areas. We engage with representative bodies such as ACRA, Crumlin Walkinstown Forum and Dublin City Community Forum. We will be represented on the new Public Participation Network that is being set up by Dublin City Council.
Our base is the Depot on Bunting Road. We have a stock of equipment for home maintenance such as ladders, stepladders, chimney brushes, papering tables, wheelbarrows and pick axes. This equipment is available for loan to any WRA member for a period of one week.

Joining the WRA has many benefits, including use of the Equipment Depot on Bunting Road. For many newcomers to the area, it can be extremely useful to have access to a handy range of DIY tools incl. wheelbarrows, ladders etc.
It is also possible to bring small electrical items for recycling.
WRA membership is per household and the subscription is only €5 per year.
Membership entitles a member to get equipment on loan from the Depot, to bring any local problems to the attention of the committee, to enter the annual gardens competition and vote at the AGM.
To join contact us at [email protected] or call into the Depot on a Saturday morning between 11.00am and 12.30pm.
